Dr Tara Shine took part in this years Dublin Action Climate Week which took place from the 13th-19th of September 2021 and was organised by the four Dublin Local Authorities, the Dublin Climate Action Regional Office (CARO) and Dublin’s Energy Agency Codema. Dublin Climate Action Week was a one-week programme of online and in-person events which aimed to inspire, share knowledge and highlight best practice on climate action, as we work towards creating a healthier, more sustainable Dublin.
At the ‘COP 26 - What Can We Expect?’ webinar on Thursday 16th September, Tara moderated a panel of experts in climate change science and climate negotiation at national, European and international levels. Panelist’s included Dr. Frank Mc Govern, Prof. John Sweeney and John Finnegan.
Tara wrote a book full of actions to take called “How To Save Your Planet One Object At A Time” which was the subject of a webinar in this years Dublin Climate Action Week. Tara delivered the webinar on Thursday 16th September. This webinar was designed to help make achievable, affordable and genuinely effective changes that will improve your life and benefit our planet and included a live Q&A with panel members.
